The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, provides support to public and private sector institutions to develop payments and related financial infrastructure. Within the context of payment systems development in selected southeast Asian countries, IFC is assisting banks, payment service providers to improve supply chain payments and finance operations in retail distribution.

IFC is therefore seeking applications from interested short term consultants to assist selected clients in the assessment and improvement of their internal processes for billing, supply chain management and client receivables management and to assist banks and payment service providers with the design and implementation of new services. They will be based in East Asia countries.

The consultant would be required to assist distributors and supporting banks to:

• Review and define opportunities for improvements to distributors’ billing, credit and collections processes and organisation;
• Identify key challenges and integration points for implementing distribution chain finance (DCF) solutions with banking partners;
• Support implementation and evaluation of solutions with finance, marketing and operations departments of distributors and wholesalers; and
• Design target organisation (roles, processes, controls, systems requirements, metrics, etc.) for credit management operations of distributors in on-to-offline.
