Founded in 1992, the All-Star Team provides recognition for high quality work conducted in the area of municipal bonds for the benefit of investors. Eligible candidates represent Wall Street firms, buy-side institutions, rating agencies, financial guaranty insurance companies, commercial banks and service providers.

“As the municipal market continues to experience volatility, Yingchen’s expertise in municipal bond valuation, along with his ability to monitor the trends shaping this asset class, continues to help our clients better understand and address a wide range of challenges,” said Liz Duggan, managing director, Global Evaluations for Interactive Data. “This accolade is further evidence that our award-winning* independent evaluated pricing capabilities are helping financial institutions more effectively navigate a dynamic marketplace that is placing greater emphasis on their valuation practices.”

The winning analysts were honored at SMITH’s annual All-Star Awards Luncheon. Over 3,200 votes were cast in this year’s election. Voting is limited to institutional investors, who are in the unique position to observe the work done across the entire spectrum of analysis.

“SMITH’s 2010 All-Star Team reflects the founding principles of the program with a wide range of analysts elected from a broad base of market sectors,” said Terence M. Smith, CEO of SMITH’s Research & Gradings.
