According to the firm, the new post holder, who has previously worked for HSBC and Morgan Stanley, will be responsible for developing its worldwide branding strategy.
The new employee, who worked for Morgan Stanley as chief executive officer of its investment management business in Asia for three years, will help the Japan-based fund manager expand its business throughout Asia.

He added that Nikko AM is well placed to âbecome the leading investment management firm headquartered in Asiaâ.
His experience includes working for HSBC Asset Management as chief executive of its Asia Pacific division and for Jardine Fleming Unit Trusts as chairman.
The firm currently has over $106 billion in assets under management.
Nikko AM was the first asset management business not based in China to offer a China A-share fund to investors.
