Claudio Capozzi Appointed New Head of SunGard’s Energy and Commodities EMEA Operations

Claudio Capozzi has been named managing director for Europe and the Middle East for SunGard's Energy and Commodities business unit, with oversight for solutions including Aligne, Fame Energy and Kiodex. As managing director, Mr. Capozzi is responsible for leading the company’s operational and strategic initiatives, and will be based in SunGard’s Canary Wharf office in London.

Mr. Capozzi’s past experience includes responsibility for building and managing successful sales organizations, marketing and product development. Prior to joining SunGard, Mr. Capozzi was managing director at Asset Control, where he was instrumental in building the EMEA sales organization and creating an integrated training program for customer-facing staff following the purchase of the company by Fidelity Investments. Past roles include managing director and vice president of sales at Algorithmics, as well as several sales and marketing roles at Reuters. He started his career at the London International Financial Futures Exchange (NYSE LIFFE).

Mr. Capozzi holds a BSc (Hons) in chemistry from Liverpool University with a postgraduate diploma in marketing and marketing research from Kingston Polytechnic.
