Alex will be primarily responsible for the commercial direction of the company, which will include client interaction, pricing and business development in the EMEA region. Alex's main focus will be on the "front end" of the business, with responsibility for potential and existing clients and ensuring that the business and technology develop in line with clients' needs and those of the broader market.
In addition, he will be actively involved in strategic initiatives and further development of the firm. Alex has a strong background in finance, having previously worked at Man Global Strategies (part of Man Group plc) for 6 years prior to joining SRL, where he held the
position of Chief Executive Officer from 2006 to 2009. At MGS he managed a large team running multimanager portfolios of $19bn, chairing the MGS Investment and Management Committees and was elected Director of Man Investments Ltd. Prior to his appointment as CEO at MGS Alex was Head of Product Development from 2003 to 2006, where he generated a number of new product concepts taking them through the stages of construction and then to market.
