"Coming in 3rd of the world's top 20 AML solution providers overall is outstanding, and clearly underlines the excellent progress Tonbeller has made in 2008," said Luigi van Geest, Vice President of Tonbeller. 2008 saw significant new name business for Tonbeller particularly on the insurance and payment-card side. Existing high-end deals continued to invest in Siron® technology in order to implement Tonbeller's solutions across their worldwide branches. The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi has rolled out Siron®AML, in a first phase, in Belgium, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Netherland and UK.
Tonbeller has further strengthened its position in the international market. With new deals in Japan, Singapore, Ukraine, Guinea, Norway, Malaysia, Morocco and Kazakhstan among others the company continues its international growth and intensifies its presence in active markets such as Asia.
âTonbeller has achieved a top three position for the second year running with 29 deals, maintaining its level of new name wins in what was a challenging year for AML vendors. SironAML has proved popular around the world, it was sold into more geographies than any other system in 2008,â said James Ling, senior reporter at IBS Publishing.
"Clients chose us particularly for the completeness and modularity of Siron® product suite," explained Luigi van Geest. "This has been recognised by Datamonitor. Their report 'Using Technology to Combat Financial Crime in Retail Banking' confirms that Tonbeller is one of only a few vendors that offer all essential components as core solutions for fighting AML and fraud." Van Geest continuous: "We are also well positioned for 2009. Tonbeller is not a public company and therefore is able to reinvest more of the revenues back into the product than the market average."
