Scottish Widows upgrades to administrator 6

aquila is pleased to announce that Scottish Widows has successfully completed a project to upgrade its Defined Benefits platform to the latest release of administrator, which offers support for the increasing variety of benefit options being used to address the funding challenges faced by many final salary schemes. With one of the largest Defined Benefits portfolios in the market, Scottish Widows is ideally placed to be able to offer the required flexibility to its clients. The project was completed in less than three months, within budget and with minimum disruption to end-users.

Gillian Tait, Head of Business Change at Scottish Widows stated: “We were very pleased to complete the upgrade largely by ourselves without the need for significant involvement from aquila. The upgrade completed successfully without disrupting service to our clients”

Scottish Widows has been an aquila client since 1995 with administrator used to support group pensions business. Following the upgrade to administrator 6, aquila is working closely with Scottish Widows on new strategic propositions in the Corporate market. David Ackroyd, Chief Executive of aquila commented:
