Lapioli has extensive experience in advanced systems development and support with an emphasis in applied technology architecture and business process improvements. He has a proven, cross-industry track record in all aspects of project lifecycle management ranging from strategic business technology planning to business case development and implementation. In his most recent role at Vanguard, Lapioli was responsible for the complete enterprise data model across all business and IT areas. He managed multiple technology teams and directed strategic planning, system architecture definition, implementation and IT governance. He delivered business technology solutions for Vanguardâs retail and institutional clients.
Prior to Vanguard, Lapioli held several positions at General Electric/Lockheed Martin, including project manager and senior staff engineer in cross functional rotations that included systems development and integration, program management and business development for multi-million dollar initiatives. He also served as a systems analysis engineer at Pratt & Whitney, where he developed simulations for NASA space shuttle main engine and advanced launch systems rocket engines to determine design performance.

Lapioli earned a masterâs degree in business administration from Saint Josephâs University and bachelorâs and masterâs degrees in aerospace engineering from Penn State University.
