Press Release No 12/05
Stamford, Conn. As further evidence of its commitment to quality security master data and corporate actions management, Imagine Software Inc. has licensed the Valordata Browser from Telekurs (USA) Inc.
As a leading provider of full-service hosted investment management solutions, Imagine Software is committed to providing the most comprehensive, highest quality data to its customers in the global financial industry. The companyâs Derivatives.com solution combines enterprise trading, portfolio and risk management functionalities with a full-service hosted platform, which provides the benefits of software on demand, automates corporate actions and end-of-day processes, and maintains user-defined pricing inputs as well as a complete global security master.
To help the company ensure that its security master is the highest quality possible, Imagine Software has turned to Telekurs Financial for its wealth of security descriptive, corporate action/events and other reference data. At present, Imagine Software has purchased multiple licenses to use Telekursâ Valordata Browser ("VDB"), the powerful visualization tool that provides access to the full range of Telekurs data.
"Because Imagine supports the trading operations for multi-asset, multi-strategy hedge funds, the Security Master maintained in the Derivatives.com platform must supply timely and accurate data for all types of securities in every major world market including listed derivatives, Government, Corporate and Convertible Bonds, and a whole line of OTC Securities," stated Steven Harrison, president of Imagine Software. "The comprehensive data services offering of Derivatives.com, which also includes analytical data such as projected dividends, yield curves, implied volatilities, correlations, and other inputs necessary to support our premium analytics, requires teaming up with a high quality data provider such as Telekurs to keep this data as accurate as possible."
The VDB provides access to Telekursâ vast database of securities information, which covers over 2.4 million global instruments and includes information about issuers, trading places, prices, underlying instruments, ID cross-reference, ratings, payment events, corporate actions and much more. Because all the information in the database is fully structured, searches are fast, and built-in hyperlinks make navigation to related current and historical information quick and easy.
"Because Imagine supports real-time trading of all major asset classes across any trading strategy, their need for clean, comprehensive reference data is non-negotiable, and weâre glad that we have been able to supplement their existing data sources," said Barry Raskin, president of Telekurs (USA) Inc. "Weâre excited that our Valordata Browser is so widely deployed within the company, and we look forward to expanding our relationship in the future."
