For the second year running, the companyâs SD-FX⢠benchmark option pricing platform and its SD-RM⢠risk management system have been voted by FX market participants as first in their classes in the prestigious FX Week Best Bank Awards.
"This year, we have continued to consolidate our position as being the leader in FX option pricing and risk management. These awards recognize that and are a reward for all the hard work done by everyone in the company," says the companyâs chief executive David Gershon.
"2005 has been a really exciting year for SuperDerivatives. We have launched new products for commodity, interest rate and equity option pricing, while at the same time building on our success in FX. Our risk management SD-RM has also gained momentum and proved to be extremely useful for banks in improving risk control and accuracy. The response weâve seen shows us that we are providing the products that market participants want," he adds.
"The corporate sector has really excited us. In the US and in Europe, many more treasurers are now comfortable with the FAS 133 and IAS 39 accounting standards and they are increasingly looking to use options to manage their FX exposure. We have played a key role in helping them use options, providing efficient structures and making it easy to price structured products that comply with their hedge requirements, but which retain a large degree of upside profitability," Gershon continues.
Looking ahead, Gershon says SuperDerivatives will continue to invest in and upgrade all of its products. "We have been working on a whole host of new features which have been requested by our customers. Weâve worked hard to secure our position as the benchmark for option pricing and risk management and we intend to continue responding to all our customersâ needs to maintain our leading position," Gershon concludes.
SuperDerivativesâ products are used by numerous companies from both the buy and sell side. Its pricing platform for currency options SD-FX is used by almost all the banks around the world that are active in currency options, and numerous corporations and hedge funds, auditors and central banks.
