Misys successful completion of SAS 70 and SysTrust certification brings further confidence to Misys Treasury Plus customers

- Misys Treasury Plus SAS 70 Type II certification helps customers meet Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements
- SAS 70 audit and SysTrust certification provides independent assurance of the reliability, security, availability and integrity of post-trade services

16 November 2005 - New York – Misys Banking Systems (Misys) today announces that Misys Global Managed Services, its treasury services arm, has successfully completed an independent audit under Statement of Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) of the effectiveness of controls and processes associated with its Misys Treasury Plus post-trade services offering.

Having completed a Type I audit earlier this year, the more detailed and rigorous Type II audit validates that Misys Treasury Plus users can effectively manage the exchange and processing of customer data and financial information. SAS 70 Type II certification provides Misys customers with a comprehensive audit report that facilitates their compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory requirements.

"With the completion of SAS 70 Type II, Misys Treasury Plus customers are assured that our services are not only consistent, secure and reliable, but that they also help meet regulatory burdens," says Mark Davies, CEO, Misys Global Managed Services. "Certification means our customers won’t incur the extra cost of their auditors having to extend SOX compliance documentation to our services. This saves money on compliance and speeds up the process – as well as being a great confidence statement about the value-added services we deliver."

Davies added, "The clear opinion delivered by our auditors underlines our dedication to the highest standards of data integrity, security, availability and reliability."
