Vienna - Reuters (LSE: RTR, NASDAQ: RTRSY), the global information group, announced today that Erste Bank der oesterreichischen Sparkassen AG, the second largest bank in Austria, will be replacing its existing Moneyline Telerate platform with Reuters desktop information products and market data system.

Erste Bank is taking 140 position of Reuters premium desktop product, Reuters 3000 Xtra, in addition to a number of the new Reuters Trader product. The Reuters products will be used at the bank's headquarters in Vienna across all divisions, including portfolio management and treasury. The bank will also be taking Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) to serve their business critical applications.

Reuters 3000 Xtra is a real-time, high-performance information service for financial professionals. Reuters Trader delivers quotes, news, fundamentals, pricing tools, and analytics into a powerful lightweight, easy to navigate desktop. RMDS manages financial content in real-time across trading environments and will be deployed Erste Bank to feed both the new and existing Reuters applications used across the bank.
