Kx Systems Expands New York Sales Office New Executives Added after Successful Year

Palo Alto (September 30, 2003) Kx Systems, leader in providing high-performance relational database and analysis products, today announced that Gavan Corr has been named Business Development Manager and Joanne O’Kane has been named Business Development Executive in the company’s New York office. The office was opened one year ago this week to support Kx financial industry customers.

Corr will manage customer relationships and serve as account team leader supporting Kx customers, who include Bank of America, Fidelity Investments and Reuter’s Research Incorporated. O’Kane will provide technical and pre-sales support. Both will report to Michael O’Neill, Director of Kx Sales at First Derivatives, Kx’s strategic partner for worldwide sales and services.

Corr has a strong background in the investment banking sector with expertise in foreign exchange, fixed income, derivatives and equities. He has consulted with some of the largest investment banks in Europe and brings extensive programming skills and relational database experience to his new position. O’Kane is a seasoned consultant with experience in the financial services and IT industries.
