Business Consultant- Business Analyst-Insurance

Business Consultant with demonstrable Insurance Business knowledge required for a well established Financial Software House based in the City. As Business Consultant you will be responsible for providing business related pre-sales support and ensuring that clients and prospects requirements are understood and the business solution is mapped against these requirements.

As Business Consultant it is essential at that you have the following:-
•Business analysis experience covering full project life cycle developments.
•Experience of working in a structured environment and to quality management standards
•Insurance applications experience, preferably in underwriting solutions
•Insurance business knowledge - Up to date and in depth experience of either Reinsurance or Large Commercial Insurance is essential

The Business Consultant will be a motivated, self-starter with excellent Client relationship skills with a strong Consultancy approach.

You will have previous experience within a similar role within the Insurance arena with multiple successful deliveries of your business designs into a production environment to support one or more key processes of insurance administration.

Your main functions will be as follows:
•Working closely with business development, supporting them across the full sales life cycle and qualification of client needs;
•Prepare and present, in conjunction with members of the business development team, proposals to clients on system solutions, including costs and timescales.
•Delivering presentations and online demonstrations in order to promote to prospects and clients;
•Supporting Marketing events - user conferences, trade shows, webinars etc;
•Identify the best solutions for meeting client requirements based upon the existing functionality of our insurance products, identifying where customisation will be required.
•Maintain a dialogue with the client throughout the project life cycle on all issues relating to their requirements and how the system meets them.
•Working with members of the systems development team, develop estimates for system changes.
•Write and update functional design specifications.
•Plan and supervise system testing, performing test execution when appropriate.
•Coordination of client user acceptance testing, including the coordination of responses on questions and issues raised by the client.

The role will require you to work both on client site (overseas) as well as your base offices. Flexibility to travel at short notice is a must for this hire.
