AquaQ Analytics Limited, the Belfast based software and consultancy company, is pleased to announce the release of version 3.2.0 of its open source TorQ Framework for kdb+. The Framework has seen increased usage over the past 6 months, not only within traditional Investment Banking clients, but also within a number of recent Finance and non-Finance startups. These include an FX Analytics Platform, a Trading Surveillance Platform, a Matching Engine Platform, a Clinical Trials Cost Forecasting Platform and a Utilities Data Capture Platform.
New features in this latest release include the following items from the 2018 Product Roadmap:
- a new analytics library to include a set of functions to aid data manipulation,
- a dependency checker for applications to check if they have minimal TorQ and kdb+ dependencies,
- kdb compression to file alerter functionality.
In addition, AquaQ Analytics is releasing V1.5.0 of its TorQ Finance Starter Pack. This Pack includes the latest TorQ codebase in a sample market data capture system that connects in real time directly to the IEX. See the AquaQ Analytics github page for more on both releases.
Lastly, the company is pleased to announce that it is expanding its reach into newer areas of expertise this year including Alteryx implementation services and Feed Handler development services (covering Activ Financial, EBS, Nanex, Thompson Reuters to date). This is in addition to the Datawatch Panopticon visualisation work that the company announced last year and the ongoing kdb+ and java consultancy & training offerings.
