Geneva, 18 October 2011

SOFGEN extends CreditQuest footprint to Southern Africa.

The SOFGEN group (SOFGEN), an international banking IT consulting firm, is pleased to announce the successful "go-live" of CreditQuestâ„¢, Harland Financial's comprehensive end-to-end credit risk management system, at NBS Bank Limited (NBS Bank), Malawi.

NBS Bank carried out a detailed study and analysis of the functionality of major credit risk management applications in use across sub-Saharan Africa. Following this evaluation, which included numerous site visits, NBS Bank selected CreditQuest to automate the bank's credit administration.

"We desired to implement a solution that will reduce the bank's credit administration costs, improve our credit quality, reduce our compliance risk and enhance our credit reporting. NBS is grateful to SOFGEN for delivering the project in a timely and professional manner," observed Mr. John Biziwick, Chief Executive Officer, NBS Bank.

Tunde Oladele, Chief Executive Officer, SOFGEN Africa, remarked, "SOFGEN created an interface between the bank's core system and CreditQuest thereby facilitating a free flow of data between the two platforms and enabling NBS Bank to take full advantage of its technology investments. SOFGEN is proud of NBS's accomplishment and we reassure our commitment to a long term partnership with the bank."
