"Syntel began providing BPO services in 2001, as a way for our clients to compound the cost savings they were achieving through offshore IT outsourcing," said Syntel CEO Bharat Desai. "To be ranked in the top 50 BPO providers in such a short time is a testament to our hard working employees and the inherent cost and quality advantages of Syntel's Global Delivery Model."
"BPO services have been a strategic focus area for Syntel since we began offering them, and we have recently expanded the scope of our services and opened a brand new, dedicated BPO facility in Mumbai," added Syntel COO, Keshav Murugesh. "Going forward, we plan to introduce new solution specific BPO offerings in the areas of Financial Services, Insurance, Health Care and Retail."
