DOW JONES-VWD NEWS EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE THROUGH AGREEMENT WITH NORDNET SECURITIES BANK

FRANKFURT and LONDON (11 April 2005)—Dow Jones-VWD News today announced that it has been chosen as the sole German-language news provider for the public Web sites and company intranet operated by Nordnet Securities Bank AB, the largest online broker in the Nordic region and one of the fastest-growing online brokers in Germany.

From early April 2005, private and individual investors using Nordnet’s online trading systems will have access to real-time corporate and financial news, economic data and market commentary covering German, European and global markets from Dow Jones-VWD News, the German-language division of global real-time business news provider Dow Jones Newswires.

This agreement is the latest step in Dow Jones–VWD News’ strategy to expand its reach among financial and investment firms and beyond national boundaries since it was formed in 2004. Dow Jones-VWD News was created following the acquisition in February 2004 by Dow Jones Newswires of vwd-Vereinigte Wirtschaftsdienste GmbH’s financial newswires and business-newsletters operations.

"We are delighted to be part of the enhancements Nordnet is offering its German-speaking users, and believe our real-time business news will provide a real advantage for their local and international investment decisions," said Volker Schneider, managing director, Dow Jones News GmbH.

"Our strategy in each country is to give our clients the best real-time news service—and that’s why we chose Dow Jones–VWD News," said Klas Danielsson, chief executive officer of Nordnet.
