EasyScreen appoints Technical Director

EasyScreen plc (“EasyScreen”), which designs and markets innovative software to financial institutions for trading on electronic derivatives exchanges, has appointed John Unwin to its Board as Technical Director with immediate effect. This is an executive position.

John, aged 43, has been Head of Architecture at EasyScreen since January 2000. He previously held various software consultancy, analyst and development positions with a number of institutions including Alcatel, ASDA plc and Leeds & Holbeck Building Society.

As Technical Director, John will work closely with EasyScreen’s Product Design Director, Paul Varcoe, in developing and extending the Company’s range of products. He will have responsibility for the development of EasyScreen’s software as it looks to capitalise on the demand for electronic derivatives trading systems in London and in other major derivatives exchanges throughout the world.

Philip Docker, EasyScreen Chairman, commented “John Unwin’s considerable experience adds an extra dimension to EasyScreen at this important stage of its development. We are continually developing further products for use by traders on all of the world’s major derivatives exchanges in their transition to electronic systems. John has already proved himself as a valuable member of EasyScreen and I am sure he will make a significant contribution to the Board.”

There are no details to disclose under paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
